Acceptance into the program will be on a competitive basis as there are a limited number of seats for the program at each location. Candidates must hold a minimum of an undergraduate degree in the life sciences. All current employees of life sciences companies are eligible for the program. Non-Students

  4. Deposit $500 (refundable if not accepted)

Application Deadlines

APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR SPRING 2027 PROGRAM: November 5, 2026. (5pm ET) 

Interested participants are encouraged to submit their applications as early as possible.

Application Review Process

All applications will be reviewed internally by the Center for Biotechnology as well as by a committee comprised of industry executives and academic researchers. Offers of acceptance will be sent via email the week of November 23, 2026.

Program Fees
  • Student/Post Doc: $1995 ** Fee Waived for Stony Brook Students**
  • New York State corporate sponsored employee: $2295
  • Non New York State corporate sponsored employees: $4250

All payments must be made by check – Please make checks payable to IFR #900082. Please ensure that you send two separate checks for the deposit and application fee. Payment must be received by the application deadline. Checks postmarked after the application deadline will not be accepted.

  • Classes begin January 26, 2027*

*The Center for Biotechnology will be following the guidance and policies of Stony Brook University in regards to in-person and virtual learning for spring 2027 semester.

Refund Policy
  • Full refund – Written cancellation must be received by the Center for Biotechnology by:
    January 29, 2027
  • 50% refund – Written cancellation must be received by the Center for Biotechnology by:
    February 5, 2027.
  • No refunds after February 5, 2027.
