Research Analyst – Defined Health

Research Analyst is a position for candidates with a Bachelor’s degree who are interested in gaining intensive exposure to the pharmaceutical and consulting industries. Initial responsibilities include performing the secondary research and analyses that provide the foundation for our commercial assessment projects and updating internal knowledge bases in a variety of therapeutic categories based on recent happenings in the industry.

Ideal candidates will have a BS in biological sciences with a minor in a quantitative field (finance minor also is a plus), excellent oral and written presentation skills, and demonstrated analytical thinking, business acumen, initiative, and an ability to successfully handle multiple responsibilities in prior work and academic situations. For the successful candidate, responsibilities will rapidly expand to include primary research, market and pipeline analyses and greater involvement on project teams.

MS Office knowledge with extensive experience in Excel and Powerpoint required. Prior research analyst experience is preferred but not necessary.

Associate Consultant – Defined Health

Associate Consultants work as members of project teams performing commercial assessments of development-stage pharmaceutical products and technologies including forecasting, market and pipeline analyses, identification and evaluation of licensing and partnering opportunities, and development of clinical and commercial positioning strategies.

This is an entry level position for candidates with advanced degrees who are interested in applying their scientific background and analytical skills while building a knowledge base within the pharmaceutical and consulting industries. Initial responsibilities will include conducting in-depth discussions with thought-leading clinicians and researchers in a variety of therapeutic areas and performing secondary research and analysis that provide the foundation for our commercial assessment projects.

Candidates must have a thorough knowledge of the pharmaceutical/biotech sector with expertise in pharmaceutical clinical development, product marketing/commercial development or reimbursement/access.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the pharmaceutical industry within the marketing or clinical development functions. Intellectual Property Internship – Forest Laboratories

The Intellectual Property Department at Forest Laboratories, Inc. is looking for an intern to work part-time this Spring. The internship is at Forest’s Commack Facilities and will last 8 weeks starting at the beginning of June. .

Responsibilities include scientific literature and patent database searches to assist in patentability assessments and the evaluation of new drug opportunities. Chemistry or biology backgrounds preferred.
